Cremation Services
Cremation Services
If your family has chosen cremation, we have a range of services that help celebrate the life of your loved one while giving you several options for a public gathering, and final resting place.
Funeral Service Followed by Cremation
Many families find meaning and comfort in a personalized funeral service. With a funeral service combined with cremation, you can still choose to have a final viewing, visitation or wake, and a funeral service. However instead of in-ground burial, the funeral will be followed by cremation. Depending on your wishes, the cremated remains may be either returned to your family in an urn, buried or placed in a columbarium.
Memorial Service
The memorial service can be held in our chapel, a church, or any other venue the family chooses. We work with our families to design a service that honors their loved one with stories, music, or scripture. We also have clergy available that lead services when a family does not have one. Our clergy have knowledge in creating experiences that help start the healing process.
Graveside Service
A graveside service can be held in place of a funeral and can be preceded by visitation at the cemetery or at the funeral home if desired.
Committal Service
A committal service is typically held immediately following the funeral service at the cemetery.
Permanent Memorialization
Keeping an Urn at home
For many families, keeping their loved one's cremated remains at home brings a sense of comfort and closeness that never fades. A personal urn placed in a meaningful space allows you to maintain a lasting connection and offers a private, intimate way to honor and remember the one you've lost. At Caldwell's, we offer a thoughtful selection of urns in a variety of styles and materials to suit your personal taste and home — ensuring your loved one is remembered with the dignity and love they deserve.
Placing the Urn in a Columbarium (Niche)
A columbarium offers families a peaceful, permanent resting place they can return to time and again. Housed within a cemetery, mausoleum, or memorial garden, a niche provides a dignified and lasting tribute — a dedicated space where loved ones can come to reflect, remember, and find comfort for years to come.
Burying the Urn
Much like a traditional casket burial, in-ground burial of an urn provides a permanent and sacred final resting place. This option allows families to observe familiar burial traditions while embracing cremation, offering a grounded sense of closure and a meaningful place to visit and pay their respects.
Scattering the Cremated Remains
For some families, scattering their loved one's remains in a place that held special meaning — whether a favorite beach, mountaintop, garden, or body of water — is a deeply personal and beautiful farewell. This option celebrates the unique spirit of your loved one and can serve as a moving, memorable tribute shared among those who loved them most.
